What is the difference in results between this method and using a ring to pour in? Also, so much of the really cool original design was lost. Could that have been saved if less paint was used?

What do you use to hold the canvas upright? ❤ I’m having trouble finding a way to hold up my canvas as I pour without it peeling .. I hold mine with cups. I hope there’s a better way 😅
Very pretty but why do you put the tape around the edge please?
The tape allows me to manipulate the paint into my desired position before letting the excess drip off the canvas.
